Oh, this day brings back a golden teaching memory. When I went to my classroom to set up for the day, I took a moment to put my purse in my filing cabinet before going down to check my mailbox.

When I returned, my very bright kids had turned all the school desks every witch (😉) way, and hid innocuous things from my desk (stapler, etc.). I decided to return the heat, and said, "Ok, where's my stapler? Where are my pens?" As they were all gleefully laughing at their cleverness, I threw in, "Ok, Where's my purse...? No, seriously, where's my purse?" Total quiet. Then a small voice spoke up and said, Mrs. Duncan, we would never take your purse!!" I quietly walked over to the file cabinet, opened it, and yelled, "April Fools!!!" We all had a great laugh together...the fooled and the fools!!

Loved reading this, I have never really thought about the character of The Trickster very much, but now I think he’d be a great main character (or villain).
